With years of experience as a Producer in the fashion, beauty, luxury and commercial industries, searching and scouting locations for various productions, I've become an expert at finding the ideal location for any project. Whether the Brand - Agency/Creative team, Photographer/Director or Producer, I am obsessed with researching and scouting locations through these lenses - here is my approach;
Agency/Brand - scouting through the Agency/Brand lens, I can envision the inspiration, boards, layouts and strategic vision from the creative team.
Photographer/Director - scouting through the Photographer/Director lens enables me to capture imagery describing the location and beyond and searching for other unique areas within the location to build upon the story.
Producer - scouting through the Producer's lens allows us to understand logistically how to move vehicles and crew into the location, set up and stage, consider the light within the location and find local resources that minimize logistical and financial impact, without sacrificing the creative vision.
Choosing a location is not just finding an impressive location but how to utilize the space respectfully, setting up the teams and how to build upon the narrative to enhance the story. I will also coordinate location permits, parking, staging and holding, fire dept, police dept, security, location fee negotiations and local resourcing of crew and accommodations as well as site management. Meeting and talking with home owners/shop owners/commercial spaces, discovering new people, places and things along the way. We respect the owners, locations and towns we travel to.
